Bipartisanship!

"WASHINGTON — Democratic Congressional leaders voiced optimism Tuesday afternoon after meeting with President Obama to plot strategy on health care legislation, while a key Democratic senator wooed Republicans with a compromise plan a day before the president’s address to the nation."

Oh boy!, oh boy!, oh boy!, oh boy!, oh boy! Woo those Republicans!

Obama has economic advisors from the University of Chicago (Friedman). He was always hostile to UHC.

I hear you about the conservatism of the people he's surrounded himself with, and I reject the claim that he's a 'progressive' deep down on the inside but just can't show it right now.

But that said, not too long ago he used to defend single payer in public:
